Dyke* March Cologne – English Information

We welcome all dykes* from Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, and the whole world on Pride Saturday. Together we will march the streets and express our diversity! Everyone who identifies as a dyke* is welcome to join and show themselves.

Dyke* March Cologne is a platform to present the various interests and political demands of lesbians/queer women/WLW/genderqueer lesbians.

Our situations are as different as our political concerns. Come along and make your topics heard! Our goal is to show exactly this animated and fierce diversity at Dyke* March Cologne. Bring your living conditions and political demands to the streets on that day!

Bring your slogans, flags, humour, favourite costumes and instruments, so that the Cologne Dyke* March will be a colourful, wonderfully raucous and above all exceptionally visible experience for everyone.

We are looking forward to countless spectators along the way, supporting us loudly.

Groups and individuals expressing dehumanizing ideologies are explicitly not welcome. We define ourselves as part of an emancipatory, feminist, anti-racist society that shows solidarity with other people and does not segregate.

* To us, “dyke” means a “lesbian/queer woman/WLW/genderqueer lesbian” who is strong and self-confident. Like so many other former slurs, this word has been reclaimed the community byand now carries a new and positive meaning.
